India’s state-owned miner NMDC Ltd produced 5.4 mln tons of iron ore in December 2025, up 15pct YoY from 4.71 mln tons, according to a stock exchange filing.
Iron ore sales also rose sharply, increasing 19pct YoY to 4.64 mln tons during the month.
For the April-December FY26 period, NMDC’s iron ore production climbed to 36.89 mln tons, compared with 30.77 mln tons a year earlier, while sales grew by around 10pct to 34.92 mln tons.
NMDC operates three fully mechanized mines in Chhattisgarh and Karnataka, with an annual production capacity exceeding 45 mln tons.
