Nunki Steel, part of the GIVA Group, has selected MORE to supply a new pneumatic injection system for its 90-ton electric arc furnace (EAF) in San Giorgio di Nogaro, Italy.
The system will enable the use of carbon-neutral material blends, such as recycled polymers and rubber mixed with coke, cutting CO2 emissions and lowering operational costs.
The fully automated system includes a FLASH STOP-equipped injector, two 2,500-liter MOCA dispensers, and a precision mixing screw conveyor integrated with melting profiles. Commissioning is scheduled for Q4 2025.
Nunki Steel has an annual production capacity of 350,000 tons. It produces various steel grades and ingot shapes, with individual ingots weighing up to 200 tons.
