Saipem has secured two offshore contracts in Saudi Arabia under its long-term agreement with Aramco, the company announced in a press release.
The first, a 32-month contract, covers the engineering, procurement, construction and installation (EPCI) of around 34 km of 20″ and 30″ pipelines, along with associated works on topside structures at the Berri and Abu Safah oil fields.
The second, a 12-month contract, involves subsea interventions at the Marjan field and EPC of 300 m of onshore pipeline with associated tie-ins. Offshore operations will utilize Saipem’s construction vessels currently deployed in the region. Fabrication activities will be carried out at Saipem’s Saudi yard, Saipem Taqa Al-Rushaid Fabricators Co. Ltd. in Dammam, supporting the development of local industrial capabilities, the company said.
