Turkey imported 15.2 mln tons of ferrous scrap in January-October 2025, a 7pct YoY decline, according to data from the Turkish Statistical Institute (TUIK).
The United States remained the top supplier with 2.96 mln tons, followed by the Netherlands at 2.29 mln tons, the United Kingdom at 1.8 mln tons, and Belgium at around 1 mln tons.
In October alone, scrap imports fell 12pct YoY to 1.3 mln tons and were down 24pct compared with the previous month.
