Pakistan imported 381,991 tons of steel scrap in October 2025, a sharp 64pct increase from 232,747 tons in the same month last year, according to data from the Pakistan Bureau of Statistics (PBS).
Month-on-month, scrap inflows rose 6.2pct.
In the first ten months of 2025, Pakistan’s total scrap imports reached 2.88 mln tons, up 17.3pct compared with the same period last year.
