Vallourec, a global leader in premium seamless tubular solutions, has secured a significant contract to supply Oil Country Tubular Goods (OCTG) for Kuwait Oil Company’s (KOC) drilling operations. The agreement is valued at over USD 130 mln, according to a company statement.
Under the terms of the contract, Vallourec will deliver carbon steel OCTG products featuring premium connections and proprietary steel grades. Deliveries are scheduled for 2025 and 2026.
The company has been chosen to supply the most technically demanding portion of the tender, providing advanced grades and connections, including high-torque flush premium connections from its specialized portfolio.
Vallourec has a longstanding presence in Kuwait and has built a strong track record as a reliable supplier to KOC, developing tailored solutions for both offshore and onshore projects.
This contract comes as Kuwait pursues its strategic objective to boost oil production to 4 mln barrels per day by 2035. It follows KOC’s issuance of a deep drilling tender in September 2024, aimed at supporting the country’s long-term energy expansion plans.
