Welspun Corp Limited has incorporated a wholly owned subsidiary in the United Arab Emirates, strengthening its global marketing and trading presence.
In a stock exchange filing, the company said the new entity, Welspun International FZCO (WIFZCO), has been established in the Dubai Multi Commodities Centre (DMCC) Free Trade Zone, UAE.
WIFZCO will manage global marketing for Welspun’s products and undertake trading of products and raw materials transacted by the parent company and its subsidiaries. The move is aimed at enhancing the company’s international marketing capabilities and supporting trading operations from a strategic regional hub.
Welspun Corp is a global manufacturer of large-diameter pipes with annual production capacity exceeding 3 mln tons. The company operates manufacturing facilities in Anjar (Gujarat), Bhopal (Madhya Pradesh), Mandya (Karnataka) and Jhagadia (Gujarat) in India, as well as in Saudi Arabia and the United States.
