Turkey exported 768,400 tons of wire rod in the first ten months of 2025, posting a marginal 0.3pct YoY increase, according to data from the Turkish Statistical Institute (TUIK).
Romania remained the largest destination, absorbing 272,300 tons during the period. It was followed by Bulgaria with 58,000 tons, Libya with 52,400 tons, and Australia with 51,500 tons.
In October alone, Turkey’s wire rod exports jumped 74pct year on year to 54,000 tons, but declined sharply by 41pct compared with September, reflecting month-to-month volatility in shipment volumes.
