Poland-based Jastrzebska Spolka Weglowa (JSW) has signed a coking coal supply agreement with ArcelorMittal Poland valued at approximately PLN 2.1 bln (USD 560 mln) for 2026.
Under the agreement, JSW will supply coking coal for steel production throughout the year, ensuring stable raw material availability for blast furnace-based operations.
The contract continues the long-standing cooperation between the two companies and follows negotiations on the quality and volume structure of supplies.
For JSW, the deal provides a stable sales channel and supports production planning, while for ArcelorMittal Poland it secures reliable access to key raw materials needed to maintain steel output.
Based in Jastrzebie-Zdroj, JSW is the largest producer of high-quality hard coking coal in the European Union.
ArcelorMittal Poland, a key subsidiary of ArcelorMittal Group, is the largest steel producer in Poland, accounting for around 50pct of the country’s steelmaking capacity and producing a wide range of semi-finished, long and flat steel products.
