Turkey’s construction sector confidence index fell 3.9pct month on month to 80.6 in March 2026, according to data from the Turkish Statistical Institute (TUIK), remaining below the optimism threshold.
Within the index, expectations for total employment over the next three months declined by 5pct, while assessments of current order books decreased by 2.8pct, pointing to weaker activity in the construction sector.
TUIK’s confidence indices are measured on a 0-200 scale, where readings above 100 signal optimism and those below 100 indicate pessimism.
