Turkish steelmaker Kardemir has increased prices for billet and rebar in its latest sales round.
Billet prices were raised by USD 35-40 per ton compared to the previous month, with S235JR grade now offered at USD 540 per ton EXW and B420 grade at USD 550 per ton EXW.
Rebar prices (12-32 mm) have also increased to TRY 27,000 (USD 607) per ton EXW, up from TRY 25,915 (USD 584) per ton in the previous sales round.
Founded in 1937, Kardemir is a major steel player in Turkey with a production capacity of 3.5 mln tons per year. The company produces blooms, billets, rebars, wire rods, profiles along with other steel products. The company’s production facilities are located in Karabuk.
