Metal Park to expand cut-and-bend rebar capacity in Abu Dhabi

Metal Park is set to introduce 25,000-30,000 tons per month of cut-and-bend rebar capacity from Q2 2026, equivalent to around 10-12pct of the UAE’s monthly consumption, the company said.

The new capacity, supported by advanced processing technologies, aims to meet growing demand from large-scale construction, energy and infrastructure projects, where precision, timely delivery and quality compliance are critical.

Cut-and-bend processing involves off-site cutting and shaping of rebar to project specifications, helping reduce site congestion, improve installation accuracy and accelerate construction timelines.

The expansion will provide contractors with integrated access to processing, fabrication, storage and logistics within a single location, improving supply chain efficiency and reducing operational risks.

The facility is designed to support steel producers, processors and contractors through centralized services, including warehousing, inventory management and transport connectivity. It will also operate on a pay-as-you-go model, allowing users to scale capacity in line with project requirements without significant upfront investment.

Full operations are expected within six months, with the project aimed at strengthening supply reliability and supporting the UAE’s construction sector.

Based in Abu Dhabi, Metal Park operates as an integrated metals ecosystem offering storage, processing and fabrication facilities under a pay-as-you-go model, with direct connectivity to Khalifa Port and Etihad Rail. Its storage hub, launched in 2025, provides on-demand warehousing solutions aimed at reducing logistics and inventory costs for manufacturers.
