Lloyds Metals orders filtration technology for iron ore plants

Lloyds Metals & Energy Limited has awarded Metso a contract to supply filtration technology for its iron ore concentrate plants at Ghugus, Manikgarh and Konsari in Maharashtra, India. The order value was not disclosed and is booked in Metso’s Minerals segment for the first quarter of 2026.

The scope includes the installation of 10 fully automatic Metso Larox FFP 3512 filters as part of the company’s ongoing expansion across multiple sites.

Metso’s Larox FFP (fast-opening filter press) units are designed for efficient dewatering of concentrates, tailings and bulk materials. The filters incorporate advanced membrane technology and holeless filter cloths, enabling improved moisture reduction and high operational availability.

The latest order builds on an existing partnership, with Lloyds Metals already operating Metso filtration systems at its Konsari pellet plant.

Established in 1977, Lloyds Metals & Energy is an integrated mining and metals producer with operations spanning iron ore mining, sponge iron (DRI) production and steelmaking, primarily located in Chandrapur district.
