Turkey’s HRC imports declined by nearly 24pct YoY in the first two months of 2026, according to data from the Turkish Statistical Institute (TUIK).
The country’s total imports reached 497,000 tons in January-February. Malaysia emerged as the largest supplier with around 135,100 tons, followed by Russia at 103,200 tons and China at 70,600 tons.
In February alone, HRC imports rose sharply to 369,900 tons, up 63pct YoY and also significantly higher than January’s 127,200 tons.
