Turkish steelmaker Kardemir has increased prices for its wire rod prices in the latest sales round.
Wire rod prices were raised by USD 28 per ton, with 5.5 mm SAE 1006 grade offered at USD 645 per ton EXW, while SAE 1008-1010 grades are priced at USD 635 per ton EXW.
Founded in 1937, Kardemir is a major steel player in Turkey with a production capacity of 3.5 mln tons per year. The company produces blooms, billets, rebars, wire rods, profiles along with other steel products. The company’s production facilities are located in Karabuk.
