Saudi billet producer Al Qaryan Steel has obtained certification for its billets under the Emirates Conformity Assessment Scheme (ECAS) and the Emirates Quality Mark (EQM), issued by CARES.
The certifications, valid until April 19, 2029, will enable the company to expand billet sales into the UAE market.
The ECAS scheme ensures compliance with standards for strength, durability and traceability, supporting quality and regulatory requirements in the construction sector.
Previously, the company received CARES certification for BS 4449 and related products, valid until December 31, 2026, allowing it to use the CARES mark. It has also obtained an Environmental Product Declaration (EPD), valid until February 4, 2029, in line with EN ISO 14025:2010 and EN 15804 standards.
Al Qaryan Steel, a subsidiary of the Al Qaryan Group, was established in 2016 in Dammam and operates induction furnaces with an annual billet capacity of 450,000 tons.
