Tata Steel has expanded its partnership with Google Cloud to deploy a unified agentic artificial intelligence (AI) platform across its global value chain.
The initiative aims to scale autonomous capabilities across Tata Steel’s operations, with more than 300 AI agents already deployed within nine months to improve efficiency, decision-making and process execution.
The system integrates operational data across the company’s global network, enabling applications such as predictive maintenance, faster customer response and optimization of complex workflows.
Tata Steel said the platform leverages a unified data and AI architecture, combining structured and unstructured data to support real-time insights and operational improvements across the value chain.
The collaboration forms part of the company’s broader digital transformation strategy, aimed at enhancing productivity and building a data-driven operating model across its global steel operations.
Tata Steel is among the world’s leading steel producers, with annual crude steel capacity of around 35 mln tons.
