Ugur Dalbeler appointed chairman of Turkish Steel Exporters Association

Turkey’s Steel Exporters Association (CIB) has appointed Ugur Dalbeler as chairman, succeeding Adnan Aslan, who completed two terms in the role.

At the general assembly, Aslan said the Turkish steel sector maintained its resilience during a challenging global period, supported by strong production capacity and flexibility. He also highlighted progress made in areas such as market diversification and sustainable production.

Dalbeler, who also serves as CEO of Colakoglu Metalurji and is currently Chairman of the World Steel Association for the 2025-2026 term, said his priorities include strengthening the sector’s global competitiveness through increased value-added production, expansion into new markets and a stronger focus on sustainability. He added that green transformation, digitalization and efficiency-driven investments will remain key areas of focus.
