Turkish steelmaker Kardemir opened a new billet sales round on April 22, 2026, and closed it shortly after securing a sizable volume of orders from the domestic market.
The company offered S235JR-grade billet at USD 535 per ton EXW, down by USD 5 per ton compared with the previous round, while maintaining B420-grade billet prices at USD 550 per ton EXW.
Founded in 1937, Kardemir is a major steel player in Turkey with a production capacity of 3.5 mln tons per year. The company produces blooms, billets, rebars, wire rods, profiles along with other steel products. The company’s production facilities are located in Karabuk.
