KEZAD signs multiple industrial agreements at Make it in the Emirates 2026

Khalifa Economic Zones Abu Dhabi (KEZAD) signed several agreements with downstream industrial companies during Make it in the Emirates 2026, supporting industrial expansion and expected to increase steel consumption in the UAE.

The latest agreements follow the recently announced establishment of a structural steel fabrication facility in KEZAD by CSCEC Middle East Steel Industries.

Among the new agreements, KEZAD signed a deal with AL Mutawa Marine Works LLC to establish a marine vessel repair and maintenance facility in KEZAD. The company will invest AED 50 mln (USD 13.6 mln) in developing a 53,381-square-metre facility offering marine vessel-related services for the regional maritime sector.

KEZAD also signed an agreement with Sama Al Emirate Electrical Panels Manufacturing LLC to establish a facility for the production and distribution of low- and medium-voltage electrical equipment. The project involves an investment of AED 40 mln (USD 10.9 mln) for the development of a 20,000-square-metre facility aimed at serving infrastructure, utilities, and power system demand.

In the renewable energy sector, KEZAD signed an agreement with Broaden Energy to establish a manufacturing facility focused on hydrogen, solar, and wind energy projects. The company plans to invest AED 455 mln (USD 124 mln) in an 80,000-square-metre facility dedicated to engineering, procurement, and construction solutions for renewable energy applications.

Additionally, Green Pack Beverage Cans Industry signed an agreement to establish a beverage can manufacturing facility in KEZAD. The project will be developed in phases with investments exceeding AED 400 mln (USD 109 mln). The facility will cover 60,000 square metres, including a 35,000-square-metre production complex equipped with advanced machinery.

The 5th edition of Make it in the Emirates 2026 was held from May 4-7 at ADNEC Centre Abu Dhabi, focusing on industrial localization, advanced manufacturing technologies, and AI-driven industrial development in the UAE.

KEZAD, part of AD Ports Group, is the UAE’s integrated industrial and free zone ecosystem spanning more than 550 sq km between Abu Dhabi and Dubai. The industrial hub provides logistics connectivity through Khalifa Port and serves sectors including metals, manufacturing, logistics, automotive, food, pharmaceuticals, and advanced industries.
