Al Yamamah Steel reports higher H1 profit

Saudi Arabia-based Al Yamamah Steel Industries Co. reported higher financial results for the six-month period ended March 31, 2026, supported by increased sales in the electricity and renewable energy sectors.

The company’s sales revenue increased by 2.7pct YoY to SAR 1.02 bln (USD 272 mln) during the six-month period.

Operating profit increased by 150.8pct YoY to SAR 122.4 mln (USD 32.6 mln), while net profit attributable to shareholders rose by 224.4pct to SAR 86.1 mln (US 22.9 mln), compared to SAR 26.5 mln in the corresponding period last year.

According to the company, the improvement in performance was mainly driven by higher sales volumes and values in the electricity sector, where sales value increased by 39.07pct YoY. Sales in the renewable energy sector also increased by 19.48pct during the period.

Al Yamamah Steel added that lower sales costs in the electricity sector also supported profitability, while selling prices in the renewable energy segment recorded an increase during the period.
