Tenaris signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with Denmark-based Green Therma to cooperate on the development of next-generation closed-loop geothermal systems in Europe.
Under the agreement, the companies will combine Tenaris’s tubular manufacturing capabilities, premium connections, and well services with Green Therma’s Heat4Ever geothermal solution based on DualVac vacuum-insulated pipe technology.
According to the companies, the collaboration aims to support the development and scaling of closed-loop geothermal systems designed to provide locally produced low-carbon heat while reducing reliance on imported energy.
The partnership will focus on integrating technological and industrial capabilities to advance geothermal energy applications in the European market.
Tenaris is a global steel pipe producer and supplier of tubular products and services for the energy industry, while Green Therma specializes in closed-loop geothermal technology solutions.
