Turkey’s HRC imports declined by 2.5pct YoY during the first quarter of 2026, according to data from the Turkish Statistical Institute (TUIK).
The country’s total HRC imports reached 806,500 tons in January-March 2026. Russia was the largest supplier with 180,400 tons during the period, followed by Malaysia with 167,300 tons and China with 121,700 tons.
In March alone, Turkey imported 309,500 tons of HRC, rising by more than 67pct YoY, but declining by over 16pct compared to February.
