Swiss-based steel trading and industrial group Trasteel Holding has formed a 50:50 joint venture with UAE-based Al Qalaa International Group to expand steel trading, project development, industrial services, and advisory activities across the Middle East and North Africa (MENA) region.
The new company, named QTrasteel, will combine Trasteel’s global steel trading and industrial expertise with Al Qalaa’s regional network and institutional relationships across the Gulf and wider MENA region.
According to the companies, QTrasteel will focus on developing opportunities for Trasteel’s trading and production businesses in the region, while also providing consultancy, engineering, and project management services.
The joint venture will additionally serve as a regional operating and commercial platform for projects and transactions across GCC countries.
Trasteel is a global steel trading and industrial group founded in 2009, operates in more than 60 countries. Al Qalaa International Group is an Abu Dhabi-based investment group with operations across the Middle East and Africa.
