Libyan Iron and Steel Company (LISCO) has awarded a contract worth more than USD 3 mln to Bosnian engineering company Energoinvest for the construction of power supply facilities in Misrata, Libya.
The project will be executed on a turnkey basis and includes engineering, equipment procurement, electrical and civil works, installation, testing, and commissioning.
According to Energoinvest, the company was selected ahead of 11 international competitors based on the technical and financial quality of its proposal.
LISCO’s production capacity includes 1.1 mln tons of DRI, 650,000 tons of HBI, and up to 1.7 mln tons of crude steel annually. Its product range includes slab, billet, rebar, wire rod, HRC, CRC and steel sections.
