EMSTEEL adopts SAP cloud platform to support digital transformation

UAE-based EMSTEEL has adopted SAP’s RISE with SAP solution as part of a broader digital transformation program aimed at enhancing operational efficiency, scalability, and data-driven decision-making across its business.

The implementation migrates EMSTEEL from an on-premise environment to a cloud-based platform built around SAP S/4HANA Cloud Private Edition, integrating finance, procurement, supply chain, and operational reporting functions into a single enterprise system.

Hosted on Microsoft Azure, the platform is expected to provide greater real-time visibility across operations while supporting future deployment of artificial intelligence and automation technologies.

According to EMSTEEL, the new cloud architecture will improve operational agility and establish a foundation for the adoption of SAP Business AI capabilities across its steel and building materials operations.

Headquartered in Abu Dhabi, Emirates Steel has a production capacity of 3.5 mln tons of steel and 4.6 mln tons of cement annually. The group exports to over 70 markets, accounting for 30pct of its sales. The company offers a diverse range of steel products, including wire rod, rebar, heavy sections, and sheet piles.
