Vallourec has signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with India’s Ultra Corpotech Pvt Ltd to establish certified local production of VAM premium threaded tubular solutions for the oilfield services sector in India.
The partnership aims to create a streamlined and efficient supply chain to better serve oilfield services customers and improve access to Vallourec’s premium VAM products through localized manufacturing. Implementation of the project is planned for late 2026, with commissioning expected in early 2027.
According to the companies, the initiative reflects the ongoing shift of oilfield manufacturing activities toward the Eastern Hemisphere, particularly India, which has emerged as a key industrial hub serving both domestic and Middle Eastern markets.
Under the agreement, Ultra Corpotech will integrate Vallourec’s VAM technology through a dedicated threading facility, enabling access to the premium tubular segment while enhancing operational efficiency and competitiveness.
Vallourec said the partnership supports its strategy of expanding localized access to premium solutions while maintaining quality standards through a capital-efficient business model. Ultra Corpotech added that the collaboration will strengthen its turnkey offerings for the oilfield services industry and create long-term value for customers and stakeholders.
