TKE ALAT, a joint venture between TK Elevator (TKE) and Saudi Arabia’s Alat, has broken ground on a new elevator and escalator manufacturing facility in Dammam’s Third Industrial City.
The project involves an investment of approximately USD 76 mln and will cover more than 40,000 square metres. The facility is expected to be completed by the end of 2027.
According to the companies, the plant will be the first elevator and escalator manufacturing operation in Saudi Arabia established by a global industry player.
The site will produce low-, mid- and high-rise elevators as well as escalators, while also serving as a product development, training and technical services hub.
