Interpipe supplies railway wheels for New York’s PATH transit system

Ukraine-based Interpipe has highlighted its long-term supply of railway wheels for the PATH (Port Authority Trans-Hudson) rapid transit system in the United States, reinforcing its presence in the passenger rail segment.

According to the company, it has been supplying 28-inch (711 mm) railway wheels under its KLW brand to the PATH network for the past seven years. The wheels comply with the AAR M107/M108 standard and are equipped with noise-absorbing rings designed to reduce operating noise in urban environments.

PATH operates a 22-km rail network linking New York and New Jersey through the Hudson River corridor and transports more than 220,000 passengers daily, according to local media reports.

Interpipe said the long-term partnership demonstrates its ability to ensure reliable deliveries to the North American rail market and supports the company’s strategy to expand its presence in the passenger transportation segment.

Interpipe, a Ukraine-based producer of steel pipes and railway products, supplies customers in more than 70 countries.
