Turkey exported approximately 301,500 tons of wire rod during the January-April 2026 period, down 10.3pct compared with the same period last year, according to data from the Turkish Statistical Institute (TUIK).
Romania remained the largest export destination, importing around 116,600 tons, followed by Australia with 43,000 tons and Bulgaria with 25,000 tons.
In April alone, Turkey’s wire rod exports totaled approximately 64,700 tons, declining by nearly 35pct YoY and by more than 57pct compared with March 2026.
