Turkey has initiated a sunset review of the anti-dumping (AD) duties on imports of certain stainless steel welded pipes originating from Vietnam, following an application filed by domestic producer Marcegaglia TR Paslanmaz Celik Sanayi ve Ticaret A.S., according to a communique published by the Ministry of Trade.
The application was supported by Borsen Boru, YC Inox TR Celik, Nikel Paslanmaz Celik, Kaya Celik, Erk Boru and STS Paslanmaz Boru Uretim.
The review covers welded stainless steel pipes classified under HS codes 7306.40.20.90.00, 7306.40.80.90.00 and 7306.61.10.00.00. The ministry said there was sufficient evidence indicating that the expiry of the existing measures could lead to the continuation or recurrence of dumping and injury to the domestic industry, warranting the initiation of the review.
The current anti-dumping duties were imposed in July 2021 and range between 19.64pct and 25pct of the CIF value, depending on the Vietnamese exporter. Under Turkish regulations, the existing duties will remain in force until the sunset review is concluded.
