Turkish steelmaker Kardemir has lowered domestic billet prices in its latest sales round.
The producer offered S235JR-grade billet at USD 515 per ton EXW, while B420-grade billet was offered at USD 520 per ton EXW, both down USD 10 per ton from the previous sales round.
Market sources said Kardemir received healthy buying interest and concluded the sales within a short period.
Founded in 1937, Kardemir has an annual production capacity of around 3.5 mln tons, producing billets, blooms, rebar, wire rod and profiles from its facilities in Karabuk.
