India’s Jindal SAW has completed the supply of 193 km of 42-inch API X65 NACE-grade LSAW line pipes, totaling 87,000 tons, for OQ’s Fahud Loop Line Project in Oman.
The company said the project was delivered within the contractual schedule despite stringent technical specifications, complex logistics, port congestion and other operational challenges. Jindal SAW attributed the successful execution to coordination across its manufacturing, quality, coating, logistics and marketing teams.
The Fahud Loop Line Project is a gas pipeline expansion project in Oman being developed by OQ, with Egypt’s Petrojet as the EPC contractor. The project will increase northern gas transmission capacity by 9 mln standard cubic metres per day.
Headquartered in New Delhi, Jindal SAW operates manufacturing facilities across India, the US, Europe, and the UAE, producing SAW and spiral pipes for energy transport, seamless and alloy pipes for industrial applications, and ductile iron pipes for water and wastewater projects. The company also runs a low-grade iron ore mine and beneficiation plant in Rajasthan, India.
