Turkey exported approximately 528,600 tons of wire rod in the first half of 2026, broadly unchanged from the same period last year, according to data from the Turkish Statistical Institute (TUIK).
Romania remained the largest destination, receiving around 196,500 tons, followed by Australia with 73,200 tons and Bosnia with 51,500 tons.
In June alone, Turkey’s wire rod exports reached approximately 134,850 tons, up nearly 18pct YoY and 46pct month on month, marking a significant increase from the previous month.
