Turkish steel producer Kardemir has raised its domestic wire rod prices, according to the company’s latest price list.
The company is offering 5.5 mm SAE 1006 grade wire rod at USD 620 per ton EXW, while SAE 1008-1010 grades are available at USD 610 per ton EXW.
The revised offers are USD 10 per ton higher than the levels announced in late June.
Founded in 1937, Kardemir is a major steel player in Turkey with a production capacity of 3.5 mln tons per year. The company produces blooms, billets, rebars, wire rods, profiles along with other steel products. The company’s production facilities are located in Karabuk.
