Kocaer Celik strengthens US presence with new subsidiary

Turkish steel producer Kocaer Celik has established KCR Steel U.S. LLC in Texas as part of its strategy to strengthen its presence and expand commercial activities in the US, according to a stock exchange filing.

KCR Steel U.S. is wholly owned by Kocaer Celik and is expected to engage in production, sales and marketing activities in the US market.

The company said the new subsidiary is expected to strengthen its presence in the US, expand commercial activities, broaden its customer base and improve customer service. It will also enable Kocaer Celik to carry out production, sales and marketing activities more effectively in the US market.

The establishment follows Kocaer Celik’s July 2026 announcement regarding plans to establish a US company with a controlling stake as part of its global competitiveness strategy.

Kocaer Celik operates three steel profile plants in Aliaga with a combined annual capacity of 800,000 tons, along with a 180,000 tons per year steel service center and a 100,000 tons per year galvanizing facility.
