Turkey’s billet imports increased 28 pct YoY to around 3 mln tons in the first seven months of 2026, according to data from the Turkish Statistical Institute (TUIK).
Russia remained the largest supplier, accounting for around 916,500 tons, followed by China with 692,400 tons and Malaysia with 426,400 tons.
In July 2026, Turkey imported around 372,300 tons of billet, up 17 pct YoY but down 27 pct from June.
