Turkey’s scrap import prices held steady this week at USD 390 per ton CFR, as Turkish mills shifted their attention on finished steel sales.
Scrap buying activity was sluggish due to weak demand for finished steel and cheaper billet import offers. Billet offers from China, Malaysia, and Russia ranged between USD 500-520 per ton CFR.
Rebar export offers remained at USD 580-590 per ton FOB, while wire rod export offers stayed at USD 595-605 per ton FOB, unchanged from last week’s prices.
