Turkey’s scrap import prices remained steady at USD 390 per ton CFR this week due to limited buying activity. This stagnation is attributed to lower billet import offers and weak demand for Turkish finished steel in the local and overseas markets.
Billet offers from China, Malaysia, and Russia ranged from USD 490-520 per ton CFR.
Rebar export prices held steady at USD 580-590 per ton FOB, while wire rod export prices remained at USD 595-605 per ton FOB. However, deals at lower prices are possible on firm bids from clients, according to market insiders.
