India’s Shyam Metalics and Energy reported substantial gains in stainless steel sales, which surged 219pct YoY to 5,699 tons in July 2024, up from 1,786 tons in July 2023.
Carbon steel sales, including billets and long steel products, rose 4pct YoY to 131,161 tons.
Specialty alloy sales increased by 20pct YoY to 19,300 tons, while pellet sales grew by 24pct YoY to 103,729 tons.
Additionally, aluminum foil sales jumped 28pct YoY to 1,571 tons.
