Turkey’s Ministry of Trade has assigned preliminary antidumping duties on HRC imports from China, India, Japan, and Russia, according to the market sources.
The new dumping margins are set at 20.56-57.75pct for Chinese producers, 11.65-18.3pct for Indian producers, 39.1pct for Japanese producers, and 16.1-23.6pct for Russian producers.
The investigation, initiated by a complaint from the Turkish Steel Producers’ Association, including Colakoglu, Erdemir, Isdemir, Habas, and Tosyali, alleges that HRC from these countries is being sold at significantly below fair market value, harming the local steel industry.
The probe covers the period from January 1, 2020, to June 30, 2023.
