Turkish steel producer Kardemir has reduced its rebar prices in the latest sales round, according to the company’s updated price list.
The company is now offering rebar in sizes from 12 to 32 mm at TRY 19,450 (USD 579) per ton, down from TRY 19,500 (USD 588) per ton previously, when the exchange rate was TRY 33.1 per USD.
Additionally, Kardemir has opened new sales for wire rod but maintained its prices. The company is offering 5.5 mm SAE 1006 grade wire rod at USD 615 per ton EXW, while 5.5 mm SAE 1008-1010 grade is priced at USD 605 per ton EXW.
Founded in 1937, Kardemir is a major steel player in Turkey with a production capacity of 3.5 mln tons per year. The company’s product portfolio includes blooms, billets, rebars, profiles, and various other steel products, with manufacturing facilities strategically located in Karabuk.
