Turkish construction company Karmod has expanded its European presence with a new steel-framed housing project in Montargis, France, marking its third residential venture in the country.
The project, featuring a 3+1 home, was completed in just 20 days, a significant improvement over traditional concrete construction, which can take up to a year, the company sad.
Karmod Chair Mehmet Cankaya noted the increasing demand for their steel homes across Europe due to their safety, rapid construction, and superior insulation. He emphasized that the Montargis home, with a wood-patterned exterior finish, was completed efficiently using prefabricated steel components shipped from Turkey.
The 119-square-meter (1,281-square-foot) house’s steel framework was prefabricated at Karmod’s facilities in Tuzla, Istanbul, and all materials, including insulation, doors, windows, and plumbing, were transported in a single truckload for on-site assembly by Karmod’s team.
