Crescent Steel secures additional pipe supply contract for major water project in Karachi

Crescent Steel and Allied Products Limited has secured an agreement with the joint venture of China Harbour Engineering Company Limited (CHEC) and Al-Fajr International (AFI) to supply an additional quantity of coated pipes for the K-IV project, according to a notice to the Pakistan Stock Exchange. The client will provide the raw material, HRC, for the production, Crescent Steel said.

Under the revised agreement, Crescent Steel will supply an extra 65,000 meters of coated steel line pipes for the K-IV project, also known as the Greater Karachi Bulk Water Supply Scheme. The project aims to address Karachi’s chronic water shortage.

Manufacturing is set to begin in the second quarter of the current financial year and is expected to be completed by the second quarter of the following financial year, the company stated.

Crescent Steel and Allied Products Limited functions across multiple segments, encompassing Steel (Pipe), Cotton, Investment and Infrastructure Development (IID), Energy, and Hadeed (Billet).
