Turkish Ministry of Environment and Urbanization has initiated the environmental impact assessment (EIA) process for Turkish steelmaker Tosyali Demir Celik’s solar power plant project in Toprakkale, Osmaniye, southern Turkey, has commenced.
The project, with an investment of TRY 1.8 bln (USD 52.8 mln), will feature 730 W photovoltaic panels and have an installed capacity of 88 MW, generating an estimated 245 GWh of power annually.
The construction and installation are expected to take 17 months, with the plant’s economic life projected at 25 years.
