Turkish pipe producer Borusan Boru announced that its US subsidiary, Borusan Berg Pipe, has signed a pipe supply agreement with Blackcomb Supply Co, LLC, a WhiteWater affiliate, for the Blackcomb Mainline natural gas project in North America. The contract, valued at approximately USD 363 mln, is set to begin deliveries in 2025.

WhiteWater, a Texas-based infrastructure company, operates multiple gas transmission assets. The Blackcomb Pipeline is designed to transport up to 2.5 bln cubic feet of natural gas per day through approximately 365 miles of 42-inch pipeline, running from the Permian Basin in West Texas to the Agua Dulce area in South Texas.

Established in 1958, Borusan Mannesmann is a leading steel pipe manufacturer in Turkey. The company’s Turkish mills have a combined capacity of 750,000 tons per year for longitudinal welded pipes and 300,000 tons per year for spiral welded pipes. In Europe, the Vobarno plant in Italy specializes in cold-drawn special pipes with a capacity of 29,000 tons per year.

In the USA, Borusan Mannesmann Pipe US Inc., which began operations in the third quarter of 2014, operates a 300,000-ton-capacity facility producing well and drill pipes for petroleum and natural gas drilling. In 2023, the company acquired Berg Europipe Holding Corp., rebranding its operations as Borusan Berg Pipe. Berg Pipe’s Florida facility produces 330,000 tons of longitudinal welded pipes annually, while its Alabama facility has a capacity of 220,000 tons of spiral welded pipes per year.
