India’s Rama Steel Tubes has announced a strategic collaboration with Onix Renewable to supply steel structures for Onix’s solar projects. The partnership aims to leverage Rama Steel Tubes’ expertise to provide steel structures, including single-axis trackers, with plans to expand into dual-axis trackers for future projects, according to a company statement.
Rama Steel Tubes has developed specialized steel structures and tracker tubes that will serve as the backbone for Greenfield Solar Projects. The company expressed pride in its entry into the Green Energy segment, emphasizing its commitment to delivering products that ensure high standards of reliability, durability, and performance, which are crucial for the long-term success of solar projects. Rama Steel Tubes Ltd, an Indian manufacturer of steel pipes and tubes, has an annual production capacity of 294,000 tons. Its product range includes ERW black pipes with diameters ranging from 15mm to 200mm and G.I. pipes from 15mm to 150mm in light, medium, and heavy sizes.
