SSAB and Meka Pro Oy have finalized an agreement for deliveries of fossil-free steel for manufacturing cable management systems, such as cable ladders and trays.
Starting in 2026, Meka Pro Oy will receive small batches of SSAB’s steel produced with minimal carbon emissions, with volumes increasing as SSAB’s fossil-free production capacity expands. This transition is expected to reduce Meka’s carbon dioxide emissions by up to 95pct. The move supports Meka’s investment in solar products, including installation systems for solar power plants.
