Pakistan experienced a 28.5pct YoY decline in finished steel imports in August 2024, as reported by the Pakistan Bureau of Statistics.
In August, the country imported 166,516 tons of finished steel, a decrease from 232,925 tons in the same month of the previous year. However, for the first eight months of 2024, finished steel imports increased by 23.6pct YoY, totaling 1.87 mln tons.
