Pakistan’s scrap imports saw a slight decrease of 0.36pct YoY in August 2024, according to the Pakistan Bureau of Statistics.
The country imported 211,700 tons of scrap that month, down from 212,455 tons in August 2023.
However, for the first eight months of 2024, scrap imports rose by 15pct YoY, totaling 1.8 mln tons.
